New York New York Malaysia is Halal!

(New York New York at 1 Utama is now closed)

Dear readers, please note that as of 2012, Malaysia no longer allows premises to display halal logo other than JAKIM's (Malaysian Islamic Development Department) halal logo as per side image. Therefor, I am now unsure of New York New York Deli's halal status, will keep in mind to ask them about it.

Yeay! Another good news..New York New York Malaysia is halal certified! They have received their halal certification from Islamic Food Research Centre Asia.

Summer Cuddle - Strawberry and Mango Smoothie delish!

Root Beer Float - Stick to the classic

Simply love their Lamb Rendezvous Sandwich (tender slices of lamb with mushrooms and salad on Foccacia Bun) and Clam Chowder Soup. Steaks are quite okay but not really outstanding. Their Smoky Cheese Balls and Shameless Shrimps appetizers are great too. Though their chocolate drinks choices can do with some improvements (I am not a fan of red velvet nor caramel chocolate). Generally servings are huge and this is definitely one restaurant we will visit more than once.

So, if you are ever in Kuala Lumpur or Sabah, you might want to drop by at one of their only two outlets in Malaysia:

@ LG311, 1 Utama Shopping Centre 1,
Lebuh Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama,
47800 Petaling Jaya,
Selangor, Malaysia

@G-838 Ground Floor,
1Borneo Hypermall,
Jalan Sulaiman,
88400 Kota Kinabalu,
Sabah, Malaysia.

We really hope that the Singapore outlets will follow suit.

Buffalo Wings

Smoky-Cheeseballs

Smoky Cheeseballs
Calamari Rings, batter was crispy but lacking in salt, dip was very nice

Lamb Rendezvous Sandwich - My Favorite
Rib Eye Steak with Black Pepper Sauce

Hawaiian Terikyaki Burger; which was so-so
Look at the size of that patty, I had to cut the burger in half and pack the balance

Salmon Alfredo; the sauce is nice but I don't think the salmon goes well with it
Mud Pie - Yummy! Served warm and soft with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream
