Mr Husband kind of like to go to Kuantan nowadays for short holidays with the kids. It's proximity with KL makes it a great weekend getaway with the kids if you don't mind the winding road of Karak Highway.
Our kids love the beach while husband loves the seafood :p

We have been to Teluk Chempedak Beach and Cherating Beach but on our last visit, we decided to drop by Batu Hitam Beach for fun. It was low tide then, exposing lots of sea snails and hermit crabs much to the amusement of the boys. Lil one had fun splashing his feet in the shallow pool of water :)

The weather was great that day, cloudy with lovely wind. Be warned that the sandy area near the carpark area has some sand flies, but once you walked nearer to the water, there wasn't any. So, my kids didn't play at the dry sandy area.

At the road side, you will see some stalls selling banana fritters, cendol and what nots but there are flies around the stalls so if you have an issue with that (like me) best to avoid eating there.
