A Day at Zoo Negara Kuala Lumpur

Zoo Negara Kuala Lumpur Slideshow: Mikahaziq.blogspot.com’s trip to Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia was created by TripAdvisor. See another Kuala Lumpur slideshow. Create your own stunning free slideshow from your travel photos.

Zoo Negara is among one of our favorite place to go with the kids, mainly because they are still under three and go in free.

We don't even mind spending the afternoon there as it is quite shady, with lots of tall trees. Of course, we won't eat there unless we are really hungry as the food is only passable sometimes not even fresh in my opinion. And after the first experience, we won't even stay for the animal show as the sound system really is in need of replacement and the trainer is not entertaining enough (all right, so we compared him with Singapore Night Safari's trainer, maybe it's not fair to him, but she (the Night Safari trainer) was fantastic.

There are lots of animals there that will entertain the kids, such as lions, tigers, leopard, crocodiles, bears, snakes, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos and what nots but there is limited feeding opportunities.

The penguins are also very small and the glass needs to be cleaned as you can't really see them clearly and you can just give the amphibian's world a miss, you have a better chance of seeing frogs at Aquaria KLCC than here.

If you are really lucky, you will get to see flight of birds over the lake near the elephants and giraffes, it really is a beautiful sight.

I still think in terms of facilities and landscaping, the Singapore Zoo is way better, but there is still some charm in Zoo Negara. You won't want to spend the whole day there though, maybe just 3 hours or under would do.

A very short video of the birds flying over the lake. (Do pause the slideshow above so that the music will not clash)

This is another clip using One True Media, same pictures as above with some videos of the animals added in. Do feel free to comment which software is better.
