Like a Johor Tourist at Johor Premium Outlets

Johor Tourist Attraction : Johor Premium Outlets

We were driving back up to KL today when we saw a new building called Johor Premium Outlets from the North-South Expressway and decided to take a look. The building looks good from far and our stomach is also growling for food.Exit 302A Indahpura, Kulaijaya here we come..

Shopping at Johor Premium Outlets

For a new shopping mall in Johor that is a bit out of the usual Singaporean hot spot, Johor Premium Outlets is packed with cars and a few coaches dropping off tourist. The places buzzes of family just hanging out and checking out the stores.

Designer Labels at Johor Newest Tourist Attraction

Designer labels such as Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry to brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Shanghai Tang and more pocket friendly labels like Roxy, Guess, DKNY, Esprit, G2000, Cotton On and more. The shopping options are quite varied, there are sport labels, cosmetics and fragrance, home furnishings and shoes.

One of the busiest store at Johor Premium Outlets

Some of the stores are not open yet though, as they are still under renovation. Coach Factory store was teeming with people while I was drooling at some dresses and handbags at the Burberry shop -sigh- dream on my dear...

My kids had fun running around the spacious courtyard and gawking at the ever-changing lights at the fountain area.
Armani Outlet - I didn't dare step into it :p

Johor Premium Outlet is a designer label shopping heaven for the die-hard fans promising a discount of 25%-65% of the usual price offered elsewhere. Though how true the claim is can not be verified by me as I am not an expert in this. I don't even own a designer handbag. Open daily from 10.00am - 10.00pm Johor Premium Outlet is poised to be a shopping outlet aiming for the Johor tourist dollar. Just hop on their shuttle at JB Sentral or Johor Bahru Immigration to Johor Premium Outlet and prepare to spend!

The food court at Johor Premium Outlet

After shopping your heart out, head to the food court to rest your feet and feed your rumbling tummy, though selection is not that much the food tasted quite nice and fresh. Price is a bit more expensive than usual -as expected-.

Spacious and clean
My Beef Bibimbap from Kyung Joo

I ordered beef Bibimbap from the stall Kyung Joo, it was surprisingly spicy (first time I tasted a spicy bibimbap) and sourish at the same time but once you add in the mild soup that accompanies it, everything blended well. The beef are also sliced beef and not minced meat as served at some places. Vegetables were spinach, carrots, bean sprouts and seaweed. One of the nicest korean stalls that I've tried so far.

Cantonese Kway Teow from Magic Wok
Cantonese Kway Teow from Magic Wok was for my second son, it was also tasty, prawns and squids were fresh and not overcooked and the serving is big. The big brother settled for fish balls and cheesy hot dogs from Kimdo BBQ.

Drinks selection is quite limited though. Some of the dispenser drinks are also sold out. Hmm.. had to settle for Ice Lemon Tea. Bummer..

Amenities at Johor Premium Outlets are quite good with a baby room, well designed toilets and surau. At least here I don't feel frustrated having to change my kids' diapers in non-kids friendly toilets.

Kudos to Genting-Simon Group for a well-thought layout and planning. Hopefully the place will be well maintained and the baby room and toilets expanded too once the swarms of Johor tourists start to flood the place.  I am looking forward to the future water park too :)
