Resepi Sandwich Tuna

Resepi Sandwich Tuna

A quick and easy recipe as the gas is still not turned on yet by Gas Malaysia at our new place. It takes some creative thinking to cook breakfast for the family.

A tuna sandwich is the easiest to make and today I decided to make one using a rice cooker and a microwave. Yup you read that right. A rice cooker as I don't have an induction stove :p

Ingredients:
1 can of tuna flakes in oil
1/2 onion sliced
1/2 tomato diced
3 inch zucchini (timun jepun) diced
3/4 medium size apple peeled and diced (dibuang kulit dan didadu)
1 tbsp fresh milk
salt
pepper
some oil to fry the onions

Instructions:
Pre-heat some oil in pan (I used the rice cooker) and fry the onion till slightly mellow, add in tuna, tomatoes, milk, salt and pepper and mix well. Lastly, add in the zucchini and apples, mix just to evenly spread the flavor and turn off fire (in my case electricity) making sure the zucchini and apples are still crisp and not overdone.

Quick and Easy Tuna Recipe

Spread on bread, add a slice of cheese, heat on oven to melt the cheese, top with another layer of bread and enjoy! Or, if you have a bread toaster, slap on the cheese and put the bread in the toaster instead! Yummy!

Note: If I have watercress and wholemeal bread, I would skip the cheese and put loads of watercress in the sandwich and use wholemeal bread instead. A healthier and still delicious version :)
