Singapore-Brisbane Flights

While planning a holiday recently, I find it a bit exasperating to find cheap flights to Brisbane. The airfare comparison sites are very confounding with multiple windows popping up that I can't even understand the information that they are trying to tell me.

At last what I did was to go to Brisbane Airport website and search for arrivals to know which carrier ply the Singapore-Brisbane route. Then, I checked each airlines website to compare the prices.

Airlines that ply Singapore-Brisbane routes are (in alphabetical order) : Air India, Air France, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, VAustralia and Virgin Atlantic.

Of all these, only a handful can be booked online, namely British Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Japan Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines. The rest,  I assume need to go a travel agency as an error message keep popping up in their windows when you query for the flights.

Emirates gives the lowest fare, followed by Etihad, the downside being ungodly hours of flight either outgoing or returning. Next comes British Airways and Qantas, while JAL and SIA's fares are exorbitant.

If you know of any other airlines that ply the route or how to get information on the other airlines fares, do drop your comments yeah?

Happy planning for your travel.

Cheers.
